When we play and use basic blackjack strategy, we are often familiar with multiple deck blackjack games. Often we have become used to this mode when we play blackjack. The reason behind this fact is that there are far fewer casinos out there that offer the good old single deck blackjack games.
Though single deck games are hard to find, we inevitably have to admit that they are far better for the players than our current day multiple deck blackjack versions. We'll cover what a single deck game is and what are the reasons why it is better for our average blackjack player.

A Word on Single Deck Games and Card Counting
We'll be making a short comparison between the original single deck game and today's multiple deck games. We said that we're looking at the original single deck game. Unfortunately, casinos today have also come up with a "6:5" single deck game, which is not exactly the same as the original single deck variant we used to play. We'll also tackle some pit falls of this new single deck game that's out there.
We'll be dealing with basic strategy as it applies to a single deck of cards. There is indeed no better game or type of blackjack out there than the single deck variant, and what better way to cash in than simply using basic strategy. We'll also check out some adjustments to the basic strategy we're all used to. Since we would be more familiar with multiple deck blackjack strategy. But at least, given the multi-deck strategy background, adjusting from multiple deck to single deck it won't be that hard.
Finally we'll have a few words for card counting as it relates to the single deck variant of blackjack. Card counting really becomes more effective (and generally pays more) when used in a single deck game session.
Enjoy your single deck games. The player who understands single deck blackjack is the one who appreciates it even more.
